Greg Biffle has a new nickname "The Dark Horse," and could be the first driver to win a Championship in all 3 of Nascar's top Series.

2008 - Target Chip Ganassi Racing (TCGR) claimed their sixth open wheel crown Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway as Scott Dixon drove his No. 9 Target Honda Dallara to a second-place finish, locking up the 2008 IndyCar Series championship in the final race of the season. Previously, TCGR won CART championships with Jimmy Vasser (1996), Alex Zanardi (1997-98), Juan Pablo Montoya (1999), and Dixon’s first IndyCar title in 2003.
The first official NASCAR race was held at the Charlotte, North Carolina fairgrounds in 1949. Jim Roper won the first race, driving a 1949 Lincoln.
The first Daytona 500 - NASCAR's biggest race - was held in 1959. Lee Petty won the race by edging out Johnny Beauchamp in a photo finish.
